Do new phones have a warranty? Sounds like a dumb or novice user question, but more than once it was asked on our Tech Group on Facebook and here is my answer to it.
New Phones Warranty
New phone launch is now every day's story, and BLU Products itself launches atleast one mobile phone every month. Most of them are budget devices suitable for consumers looking to buy mobile under $100 or $200. For consumers who buy a new device, it's important to know about its warranty and replacement terms and conditions. Normally the company provides a warranty for defective material or handset, but it varies on different terms and conditions.
General Warranty Period:
Generally, any OEM provides the following warranties -
Type | Warranty Validity |
Mobile | 1 Year |
Battery | 6 Months or 1 Year |
Accessories | 6 Months or 1 Year |
Let's discuss this in regard to each mobile manufacturing company.

Other OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, HTC, and Sony all provide the same warranty but you should read the product page for full warranty details.
Earlier all OEMs used to provide a full one-year warranty on a handset, battery, and accessories but now almost all OEMs have decreased it to 6 months there aren't many complaints regarding this because the prices of smartphones have really come down.
