Here we go through 240 Hz phone display refresh rate optimized for gaming on the go.

Your smartphone truly is a smart + phone. Apart from including basic voice phone calls, you can actually do a lot of things. You can video chat, play games, can use it as a camera, turn it into a hotspot device, and a lot more. Previously game enthusiasts had to purchase a game console but now on smartphones themselves, you can play high-end games like PUBG, & Fortnite. From the 60Hz refresh rate in mobiles, OEMs started manufacturing mobiles with a 120Hz refresh rate and now we see 240 Hz phone with such a high display refresh rate as well. Don't be surprised because this will be a common scene in the future as the need for high-end gaming will grow.

240 Hz Phone

According to reports, the mobile gaming market is expected to grow by 70 million USD by 2026 in comparison with 2021, and segments wise online mobile gaming is becoming very popular thanks to Fortnite, PUBG, Minecraft, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, DOTA 2 & other games. All these games have been played on the PC, tablets, and mobile phones.

240Hz smartphones will soon become a requirement for high-end gaming. But do we need such a high refresh rate in mobiles for normal use or just for gaming?

Do we really need 240Hz Phones?

The basic question everyone has about whether you should prefer a phone with 240 Hz over 120 Hz or not has a straightaway answer.

Mobile phones with high refresh rates are definitely a delight for gamers, but business people who rarely have time to watch movies or play games will not find them helpful. It's just like purchasing a gaming laptop when you need a laptop for business purposes. So 240 Hz phone is highly not recommended for business professionals and elderly peoples, and are more suitable for avid gamers. Although it's not a basic requirement for gamers as they can even go with 120 Hz mobile.

For general purpose, these kinds of phones are not needed, although it gives high refresh rates it's a delight for gamers.

240 Hz Display Refresh Rate Race:

The race is already on, with OnePlus and other Chinese smartphone makers trying to make a statement. Asus ROG Phone launched in October 2018 to become the first mobile with a 90 Hz display. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max feature a 120 Hz refresh rate but Razer Phone 2 a special gaming handset was the first to come up with a mobile with a 120 Hz display the question is will the Razer Phone 3 come out with 240 Hz? I don't think so, as we might have to wait for Razer 4 phone.

OnePlus phones with 240 Hz will be interesting to see, but we will have to wait until the OnePlus 14 or OnePlus 15.

Already we have seen the launch of the first phone, Sharp Aquos Zero 2.

Upcoming Mobiles with 240 Hz Display:

We can expect the debut of the Razer Phone 3 with a 240 Hz refresh rate or the upcoming OnePlus phone with that or Chinese phones loves to become first.
