5G networks are quickly spreading their availability from prime locations in cities to outskirts and bigger towns. There is still a long path to cover for 5G coverage in the United States and let me tell you that no service can reach 100% perfectly because of the terrains. Here let me talk about the Verizon 6G plans, release date schedule, rollout, expectations, & when will Verizon have 6G technology for customers.

6G would be the 6th generation of mobile standards.
What is Verizon 6G?
Just like 3G, 4G, & 5G, and 6G Verizon is an upgraded mobile technology. As a symbol, the letter "G" stands for generation, and it's quite obvious that these are the standards defined by the International Association.
Which Countries have 6G?
United States, Canada, and Mexico are preparing for 6G trials but as of now China and Japan have launched a 6G network.
Verizon 6G Release Date:
So when will exactly 6G come into the frame? Right now, we are very early to comment on this but the tentative launch is expected in 2027 or 2028. Further comments from Kyle Malady, the Vice President of VZW network said that there's no clear reason to move beyond 5G.
He further added -
"I really don't know what the hell 6G is. We just put 5G in. And I think there's a lot of development still to come on that one."
Mazin Gilbert, AT&T's VP of network analytics and automation, said "It's coming," when talking about 6G during a recent industry event. But eventually, it could take time as it's in the very early stages of development.
These comments from top executives of the major network providers in the USA implicate that 6G right now is out of the syllabus content pushing the launch further ahead by atleast 5 years from now.
Which Cities will get 6G Verizon?
As of now, it's hard to comment on which cities will get the Verizon 6G services but definitely on a trial basis, it can include the following cities in the USA -
- New York
- San Francisco
- Washington DC
- Los Angeles
- Chicago
According to US FCC, it has allocated 95 GHz and 3 THz for early research and development. For the development of 6G, all four major US telecom carriers ATT, T-Mobile, US Cellular, & Verizon have partnered to form ATIS's "Next G Alliance" and some tech giants like Qualcomm, Microsoft & Facebook. Other founding members include Bell Canada, Telus, Ciena, InterDigital, JMA Wireless, Telnyx, Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung. The goal of the alliance is to set up a full range of R&D, manufacturing, and market readiness.
How Fast is Verizon 6G?
6G will offer 1000 gigabits/second speed directly on your smartphone & unlocked tablets. It offers air latency lower than 100 microseconds. Statistically speaking, will be 50 times faster than 5G.

Verizon 6G Phone:
It's too early to talk about Verizon 6G mobile phones but it will soon start coming once VZW announces the 6G spectrum. Until then check out 5G no coverage issue.
